Here at DAVES GREENHOUSE our aim is to provide the BEST TASTING tomatoes possible. We have grown over 30 varieties of tomatoes over the years, with one main goal: FLAVOR!
We are a family run business located in North Pole, and have been providing produce to the local farmers markets and stores since 2002.
NEW FOR 2010: We are now offering prepaid discounts for the 2010 season.By signing up in advance for our 'Preferrred Customer' status, you can lock in Savings and Availability for next season. The price for tomatoes next year at the Farmers Market will again be $6.00/pound. By signing up before Feb.31 2010, you can purchase for only $5.00/pound (for you earlybirds, sign up before November 15, 2009 and get them for only $4.50/pound). Simply fill out the form with your preference for variety and/ or size (if you have one) and return with payment by the due dates. We will be setting up three different pick up points, open one night a week each. Let us know which is the most convenient for you, and we will have your produce waiting for you at that location every week (Please be sure to give us contact information, so we can let you know where the pick up points will be. You can then tell us your preferred location. We will notify you when our tomatoes will be ready!). As our current customers know, for various reasons we often have tomatoes available at the market for reduced prices.These will now be made available to our Preferred Customers first. Just check the 'canning or process ' notification box on the form.
We fully expect to have a 13 to 16 week growing season, but we cannot be sure of having enough at the start and end of the season for all of our customers, so we are basing the price on a 10 week season.
Here's how it works:
TOMATOES
If you want 1 lb/week x 10 wks = $50 ($45 earlybirds)
2 lb/week x 10 wks = $100 ($90 earlybirds)
3 lb/week x 10 wks = $150 ($135 earlybirds)
4 lb/week x 10 wks = $200 ($180 earlybirds)
5 lb/week x 10 wks = $250 ($225 earlybirds)
and so on...
We also have a' Gardeners Special' for those of you who grow your own plants, and just want tomatoes until you start harvesting your own. This only runs 6 weeks, and starts 1 to 2 weeks earlier than the normal program (while our plants are starting to produce, but not in enough quantity for all of our 'Preferred Customers.'
Here's how the 'Gardeners Special' works:
If you want 1 lb/week x 6 wks = $30 ($27 earlybirds)
2 lb/week x 6 wks = $60 ($54 earlybirds)
3 lb/week x 6 wks = $90 ($81 earlybirds)
4 lb/week x 6 wks = $120 ($108 earlybirds)
5 lb/week x 6 wks = $150 ($135 earybirds)
and so on...
For 2010, we will be growing 6 varieties of tomatoes. We strongly suggest checking the 'mixed' box on the order form, to get a variety of flavors through the season. For those with a preference, just check the appropriate boxes. we also know that size is important to many people, so you may want to check the appropriate size boxes on the form. Please note: not all varieties come in all sizes- German Heirlooms are always small, and beefeaters and Florida Pinks are rarely small.
